Plasterboard

Plasterboard, also known as drywall, comes in various types, each designed for specific applications:

1. Standard Plasterboard: Made from gypsum sandwiched between two layers of paper, suitable for most interior walls and ceilings. It's easy to install, durable, and has good fire resistance.

2. Moisture-Resistant Plasterboard: Has a green paper face that repels moisture, making it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, and basements. It prevents mold growth and water damage.

3. Fire-Resistant Plasterboard: Contains fibreglass and other materials that enhance its fire-resistant properties. It's used in areas that require increased fire protection, such as between a garage and living space.

4. Acoustic Plasterboard: Designed to reduce sound transmission through walls and ceilings, it has a higher density and often includes a layer of sound-dampening material. Ideal for home theaters, apartments, and offices.
